These shops did not require the robust features that you would find in a Virtuemart or Drupal store and were focused on maximizing organic search engine optimization.  We evaluated several solutions for WordPress and chose ShopperPress as our e-commerce framework.

ShopperPress includes several themes that can be customized and modified to suit your requirements.  We modified the solution to include additional features such as advanced control over the promotional items and the ability to display related or recommended items for each product. We also integrated several custom SEO strategies into WordPress and ShopperPress.

In regards to search engine optimization, we assumed that it would take at least a couple months for the site to appear on the first pages of Google. The client’s chosen keywords were competitive and there were many companies competing for the top position. To our surprise, it took 1-2 weeks for the site to appear in the 1^st or 2^nd position on the first page of Google for the client’s chosen keywords.  We were also impressed that the site is now appearing on the 1^st page of Google for many secondary keywords.

The client is saving each month by not having to pay for Google Adwords any longer. The client has reported a huge increase in traffic and sales due to the ShopperPress sites.
